Vaideeswaran Koil,Tamil Nadu
This temple is renowned for curing people from various diseases, esp. skin related ailments. This is not a myth since many people have had positive results from praying to Lord Vaidyanathar here, and his consort, Thaiyal Nayaki. People suffering from skin problems, be it hives, rashes, boils, etc to skin diseases, pray to this Lord and after they are cured, they come here and dissolve common salt, jaggery, pepper available in temple premises or can be brought with us, in the temple pond which is inside the temple, known for this purpose alone. It is miraculous to see boils that have been present from a very long time which are painful, disappear overnight after praying to Him.

Shivanasamudra, Karnataka
Shivanasamudra, in Karnataka is famous for its twin falls - Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. The falls is very fierce and beautiful to look at from afar. The mountainous path leads near the falls where tourists park their vehicles and climb down the muddy and stony, risky narrow steps to the place of the falls. The river looks calm and green and boating in ferries is available. The stony steps are not exactly fun to climb up or down as it is slippery and narrow, irregular both height and width wise, and scary to look at the path while climbing down. Near the falls, there are 2 temples, Ranganathaswamy temple and a Shiva temple, which is also a Shakti peetam. The Ranganathaswamy temple is believed to be the Adi Rangam, where Lord Vishnu can be seen in a sleeping posture on the Adi Seshan. Madhya Rangam is Srirangapatna, near Mysore and Antya Rangam is SriRangam, in Trichy. The SriChakram in the Shakti Peetam here is said to be installed by Adi Shankaracharya and is very powerful. It is said that people affected by evil magic in anyway, are supposed to take path in the river nearby, and pray to the Lingam and Goddess Parvati here, with lemons which will be given to us after performing pooja by placing them at the Goddess' foot. The lemons need to be kept in the person's residence for a period of 48 days during which time, the curse will be lifted or else, a solution will be revealed. The temple is an ancient construction and not very big. The Goddess is very beautiful and one can pass all his life just by seeing into her deep eyes which verily talks to us.

This is very old and great temple in Kumbakonam. The Goddess Durga here can be seen from the temple doors and it's very common to give a green and red 9 yards saree. The Goddess Durga here can be seen wearing the 9 yards saree in the traditional brahmin style called Madsar, which is worn by Tamil Iyer ladies on all traditional occasions such as marriage, ceremonies, pooja to ancestors, Mahalakhmi Vrat celebrated in South India, etc. The temple is big with a lot of beautiful paintings of the various forms of Goddess. Inside the temple, there are two big temples for Lord Shiva, named here as Thenupureeswarar and his consort, Gnanambigai. Tales are also painted on the walls and narrated in Tamil below the paintings. The Goddess Durga is very powerful here. Devotees worship her with a garland of 48 or 108 lemons and neem leaves. She is worshipped mainly to install Dharma or truth where there is a governance of evil in every form. She is truly a mother for all orphans and orphan families. Her presence can be felt miraculously by her true devotees.
